   Gastrointestinal pacing theory:The movement of gastrointestinal tract is caused by the regular contraction and relaxation of smooth muscle.

   A specific area of the gastrointestinal tract can drive the contraction and relaxation of gastrointestinal smooth muscle and control the basic bioelectrical rhythm of the gastrointestinal tract. In medicine, this specific area is called the gastrointestinal pacemaker.
