  The relationship between man and nature is subtle. In autumn, the weather becomes dry and the microenvironment in the human body begins to lack water. Different from the hot summer, in the dry autumn, the human body is not active in water intake, so functional constipation, which occurs frequently in autumn, comes quietly, and at a certain time makes you work hard with no results.

  Functional constipation (FC), also known as 'chronic functional constipation', is one of the common gastrointestinal diseases. Its clinical manifestations include persistent difficulty in defecating, decreased frequency of defecation or incomplete defecation.

  The prevalence of functional constipation in the general population of China is 4.0%~10.0%, and that in Shanghai is 2.9%; 8.5% in Taiwan; 14.3% in Hong Kong. The prevalence of FC was 15.2% in urban women and 10.4% in rural areas, which was higher in urban than in rural areas. The prevalence rate of women was 8%, which was significantly higher than that of men (4%). The prevalence rate of the elderly was 11.5%. In chronic constipation, functional diseases including functional constipation, functional defecation disorder and constipation intestinal stress syndrome accounted for 57.1%. With the change of diet structure, the acceleration of life rhythm and the influence of social and psychological factors, the prevalence of chronic constipation is on the rise.

NO.1 Causes of functional constipation

  Dietary factors: too little food, too fine food, insufficient cellulose and water in food, unable to form a certain amount of stimulation to the intestinal tract, slow intestinal peristalsis, unable to push food residues to the rectum in time, prolonged stay in the intestine, and excessive absorption of water makes feces dry.

  Drug effect: long-term abuse of laxatives reduces the irritability of intestinal wall nerve receptor cells, and can not produce normal peristalsis and defecation reflex, leading to stubborn defecation difficulties.

  Large intestine diseases: such as allergic colitis, diverticulitis of large intestine, congenital megacolon and other diseases can cause large intestine convulsion and movement disorder, making feces difficult to pass and defecate.

  Inadequate defecation power: The elderly and infirm, lying in bed for a long time, postpartum, etc., have insufficient defecation power due to decreased contractility of diaphragm, abdominal muscle, anal sphincter, and lower abdominal pressure, leading to difficult defecation.

  Psychological factors: psychosocial disorder is a separate cause of constipation, including depression, psychosis and anorexia nervosa.

NO. 2 Hazards of functional constipation in the elderly

  Long term functional constipation can increase the incidence rate of colonic diverticulum and perianal lesions, and increase the mortality of hypertension and coronary heart disease. According to a study published in the Chinese Journal of Gerontology, the quality of life of elderly patients with functional constipation is lower than that of the control group in the four fields of physiology, psychology, social relations and environment (aged ± 2 years old without functional constipation), which indicates that the quality of life of elderly patients with functional constipation is poor, as shown in the table below.

No. 3 Treatment of functional constipation

  The therapeutic purpose of functional constipation is mainly to relieve symptoms, improve constipation, and restore normal intestinal motility and the physiological function of defecation. In clinical practice, laxatives are often used for treatment. For the selection of laxatives, both the effect of the drug and the safety and dependence of the drug should be considered.

  In recent years, biofeedback therapy technology has achieved good results in the treatment of functional constipation. Some experimental studies show that the long-term remission rate in this area can reach 90.5%.

  Kuancheng Technology, together with the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University, Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University and other hospitals, carried out a multicenter clinical trial, and conducted a comparative study on biofeedback therapy for 483 patients with functional constipation. Before the case data were included, the researchers conducted colonoscopy to exclude colorectal organic lesions in all patients, and then grouped them according to different treatments: 71 in the test group and 72 in the control group; The biofeedback dynamic instrument was used for 45 minutes every day. Through the 5-day test, the effective rate of the test group was 90.5%, while that of the control group was only 52.7%.

Treatment principle of NO.4 biofeedback gastrointestinal motility instrument

  The movement of the gastrointestinal tract is caused by the regular contraction and relaxation of the smooth muscle. The biofeedback gastrointestinal motility instrument is driven by adding electrical signals of different frequencies to produce the 'drive follow resonance' effect, so that the gastrointestinal tract can return to the normal peristalsis rhythm and achieve the purpose of eliminating or alleviating the symptoms of gastrointestinal diseases.

  Obvious therapeutic advantages

  The human body has low impedance and deep effect;

  No two-way electrolysis, no skin irritation;

  Its waveform, amplitude and frequency are constantly changing, and it is not easy to produce adaptability.

  In analgesia, promote blood circulation; Increase the tension of smooth muscle;

  Regulating autonomic nervous function has significant therapeutic advantages.
